Position Overview
As a Licensed Millwright, you will play a critical role in maintaining and improving production processes. Your expertise will ensure the safety, efficiency, and quality of operations within a state-of-the-art facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform general maintenance tasks including welding, pipe fitting, pump work, and machinery repair.
- Operate motorized vehicles to move or lift products, equipment, or materials.
- Ensure compliance with Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) standards, as well as Food Safety and Quality Regulations (FSQR).
- Diagnose and resolve equipment issues to minimize downtime.
- Conduct preventative and predictive maintenance using industry best practices.
- Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications (Required)
- Possession of a valid Millwright License.
- Must be at least 18 years old and legally authorized to work in Canada.
- Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds and work in varying conditions (extreme heat/cold, confined spaces, elevated areas).
- Proficiency in English (reading and writing).
- Availability to work overtime, holidays, nights, and weekends as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in maintenance trades such as welding, pipe fitting, and electrical.
- Familiarity with MRO and MRP processes.
- Forklift certification and basic computer skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and teamwork orientation.
- Knowledge of industrial safety and environmental regulations.
- Welding certification and experience with automation, boiler, and steam systems.
