Many businesses aren’t aware that working with an unlicensed recruiter or staffing firms can lead to fines of up to $50,000—so having these licenses means our clients stay compliant while hiring the right talent.
When these regulations were introduced, agencies that applied for a license before July 2024 were allowed to continue operating while waiting for the Ministry’s decision. However, employee staffing agencies that did not apply before that deadline are now prohibited from operating until they receive approval. This means businesses need to be extra careful about who they partner with, as unlicensed agencies could be operating illegally.
